Healing in the form of Music

Simple codes unlock when new artists are revealed. We get a sense of what the music industry really thinks of us as the consumer. Lately, I've noticed a great deal of sex being sold to young women and girls. Risky outfits and overtly sexual lyrics overwhelmingly are seen in the popular television shows and movies. There are a lot of blond, large boobed, and dumb role models out there (No pun intended). As the women of a new age, we really need to rally against artists who give off a sense of objectified garbage, while uplifting those who do not crash under pressure. Have we really taken notice to the artist who don't personify Barbie meets the stripper? Oftentimes and sadly these artists are washed away, not receiving as much recognition as some of the more mainstream artists. Keyshia Cole, Pink and Gwen Stefani embrace what I feel the meaning of womanhood should be. I'm so proud of these artists and will continue my support. Watch, Listen and Learn!
