Pageantry:
I'm really getting tired of the lame excuses we have for people in this world. I love the arts, beauty, and entertainment. There is absolutely no need for any douche behind a computer to laugh and poke fun at the women who choose to enter and compete in Beauty Pageants. Yes; there are very few people who get recognition that truly deserve it like Doctors, Teachers and Lawyers. However, most people have failed to realize that if you pay close attention to the content of a typical media outlets story, it will either entail details of the arts, beauty, fashion or entertainment. What the hell, it's THE MEDIA, Duh!
I recently came across a very nasty comment written to one of the contestants in the Miss California USA pageant and it reeked of jealousy and hate. The comment proved to me that as people we are on a continuous mission to pull the next person down. No matter the industry, each individual has the right to be a part of whatever they choose. If that person gets recognized for their beauty, intelligence, and confidence why should it matter to anyone else.
I'm not going to make this an evil and drawn out post and I hate to lose character. But WTF and F You to anyone who feels the need to put down a thriving young woman who enters a pageant. We as human beings should look at the positivity in this world and glorify those that do good. There is so much poverty, chaos, and war around the globe to even fatham. I pose this question: why hate or bring down another persons dream to make yourself feel better? Lets get rid of the hate and start loving one another.

Totally agree - It does seem that any one who is brave, giving, sucssesful, pretty - they seem to attract the jelous people who can't wait to tear them down with an unkind word or article
