Last year I had the opportunity to take a trip to Miami, Florida. It was an important event in time and I'm forever thankful for the time spent. Towards the ending of the trip, last day, things got a little exaggerated. An argument took place and the argument was about the objective subject we know as race. I was accused of many things and I am happy to say that the pot that called the kettle black, didn't fall too far from the tree.
I try to shy away from topics of race, religion, and politics because the conversation always ends in an argument, like always. I'm opposed to arguments outside a courtroom. I digress.. So, then the topic turned to interracial dating or friends with benefits as most would call it in a normal world. To be completely honest, I feel that race and this idea of dating a race is a political agenda to keep all races divided.
At the very end of a day, a day that we aren't promised, many of us say our prayers pleading to God to give us one more day. Life after all is short and we take the most important things for granted. As the human race we should live without color or the idea of skin color to be exact. Although a person should have the right to date/marry/friends w/ benefit any one they so choose.
I'm saddened and it's crazy to think that this world is made up of two kinds of people and they are continually at odds. Human beings come in all shapes, sizes, colors and creeds and there is a person for everyone. Dating shouldn't be about exclusivity and it shouldn't be forced.
Whether the ocean tides in the Pacific are high or low and against all odds, men, women, and children must love regardless of what the eyes see as differences. At the end of some day, we all must close our eyes and sleep eternally.
