Motivation: Shoe diary 4

A Facebook friend posted an article on Sunday and it made me think a lot about life. The question involved these details: would you work your current job for no pay and if yes, then you are truly doing something that makes you happy?

I thought to myself about my mother and other people I have encountered and it seems that they would never do any sort of job without pay. Are we trained as Americans to work continuously without taking a vacation or even experiencing zero promotions within 40 years of working for a company all to barely pay our bills? Or, are we so engulfed in our work that we forget about ever owning a home and buying a car. Some don't even think twice about sending children off to college. I'm saying this all to say that we work diligently ignoring freedom and happiness, all for the sake of money which often times isn't enough to even pay the bills.

It is very sad that most Americans I've encountered have fallen prey to an idea of giving up on dreams. As if thinking bigger and having a rambunctious attitude about life is for fairy-tales.

Yes, bills are very real and if acquired throughout life, then an income is most desired. However, can others still dream and fulfill those dreams all while paying those bills? I think it's possible to not only do something you love, whether it be performing, meeting new people, writing, blogging in the social media world and earn a living. Anything is possible with will-power and belief in one's self that the sky is the limit.
