This year I embarked on a tedious road trip and I wanted to catch up to speed, bringing a late update to MFB readers as to what took place. I traveled throughout many different States within the U.S. and ended the road trip in the lovely city, New York. Wow, I honestly have so much to say and refuse to make this post longer than what's expected.
Firstly, whatever happened to common courtesy for drivers on freeways to the city of Amarillo, Texas. I don't know much about Amarillo, but it's safe to say that the freeway had absolutely no lights brightening the road for oncoming traffic. It's no wonder some of the U.S. highways are the most dangerous. Amarillo isn't alone in this insane highway edition of MFB's no one told me.
Oklahoma city, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Colorado and parts of Ohio highways were not easily traveled and the lights-out freeways made the driving part of the road trip a tremendous journey. Nevertheless, I thank the good Lord for blessing the U.S. with such beauty and natural resources. Our mountains, valleys and wild life are what makes traveling during road trips so relaxing when dawn breaks.
The tall, bold, and gigantic trees in Ohio made me feel even smaller than what I am as a human as they roared over the highway at night. Such beauties.
Lastly, NYC the place where dreams can come true wasn't something that I will ever forget. I actually had a great experience and have come to the conclusion that NYC isn't really the place for me. Not that I would ever turn down the opportunity to live there, but long-term residency would be a challenge. The ever-changing renters market, the congestion, too many people, and the space within NYC makes it undesirable for me. I love cities like NY and hope to stay, but temporarily.
I'm a new person after experiencing a nationwide road trip and I'm forever blessed for the experience wishing it hadn't ended so soon. Next time I'm flying!
