Why I despise the word friendship

Abused and misused; most people do not know the true meaning behind the word friendship. So, why do we use it? Do we often over expose this word without any real positive intentions or actions? Yes! I never use the word friendship because it has no meaning without action. A friend is a person who is Kind, understanding, selfless, loving, motivational, and without a doubt not envious. I can most certainly find myself identifying with most as simply associates. I'm very fond of the word 'associate' and find it hard to relate to people who abuse the word friendship. I define some of my quality traits and characteristics as that of a loving, kind-hearted, free from jealousy type of individual. I never allow my thoughts and dreams to overshadow those around me. I'm a selfless person, but I'm learning to be careful and listen to the truth that lies within my heart. Those truths have burst free, giving me a clear understanding that maybe my only focus should be self. Therefore, only caring for those who truly care and appreciate who I am as an individual. I do love inspiring minds and sharing my love for life with others. Sometimes being an open individual requires some exclusivity, but remaining open to sharing emotions. All in all, I love sharing life with others, but I've learned to just focus on me, well sometimes.
