Entertain me: Shoe diary 6

I know, lately on myfashionbible's menu there has been nothing more than shoe diary after shoe diary. I'm going to try to incorporate more of MY style into myfashionbible posts, but due to my lack of a digital camera I can't at this moment. Times are hard right now:(. Thus, I bring to all my readers shoe diaries that are supposed to be just that, a diary of my thoughts, emotions and feelings. Next up, the Entertainment industry and why everyone wants to be a part of it. Hey, I'm no dream crasher and I'm definitely not a "hater," but if your only thoughts about the reasons why you would want to be a part of the Entertainment industry are only based on fame and money, you have so much more to learn. I've met people who five years ago could have cared less about the Entertainment/Media industry and now that reality is present, they feel it would be a better career choice. I'm bringing all of this up to say NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO MAKE IT. Truly, if you aren't dedicated to it, nine times out of ten you will not make it.

If you only want to be in the Entertainment industry because you think it will lead to instant fame and monetary success, you have another thing coming. Since everyone wants to be in Entertainment, it's going to be ten times harder if you don't have a special talent or something about you that's marketable 'screaming I can bring those people to seats across the USA and abroad.' Yes; we live in an era of the RISE of the reality TV star, but that's a career that's over in about 15 minutes. (When I say Reality TV star I'm not speaking of the celebrities who may or may not have talent, I'm speaking of people who are being introduced to the world for the very 1st time.) Reality TV leads most people down a road to the land of nowhere and "what" network or film company can actually develop a character out of someone who already feels they're a STAR with a minimal fan base. Back to the subject at hand, there are many people who feel that they have the looks, but they lack personality. Just another humdrum, robotic and talent-less individual with great looks. There has to be something that you possess that's more than looks. I feel the Entertainment/Media industry has people fooled into believing that if they appear on a reality TV show or have these delusional thoughts of being a dream-star that they will garner instant fame. No and maybe; for the simple fact that you are placing yourself into a situation were an image of you has been drawn out for the public to dissect by that show's producers and not based on who you are as an actual entertainer (talent or learned skill), basically you're some buffoon on TV. However, I'm no expert, so there's no telling what or who will be famous, it's all up to the beholder. I'll end this post with these words: if you seek a dream under false pretenses without the intentions of learning the history behind that 'dream,' you will fail. Dream big, but never underestimate the power of that dream and why it's just that, a dream. History holds the key. More to come!
