What is your heart truth? There is a national campaign created by the US Department of Health & Human Services issuing a call to women across the nation to know their Heart Truth. Ladies, this is one of the most important aspects in your personal journey of life and you want to be sure to know you are healthy enough to walk down any runway.
By going to your doctor and allowing them to tell you the truth about your numbers, you can be well on your way to a healthy heart and mind. Your numbers constitute the numbers in your blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels. If these numbers do not meet healthy standards than you are at risk. You are at an even higher risk of heart disease if you are a woman, African or Latina American. Even though heart health is important for men and women, heart disease is the #1 killer of WOMEN.
Knowing your numbers is just the start, but changing them, if they are higher than normal is a greater challenge..
"Catwalk to a healthy heart!" Is a challenge that My Fashion Bible is giving to each woman across the nation. If running is too tedious in the beginning it's best to power walk for the first couple of weeks before you take this challenge. Remember, I am a heart truth campaign expert and an advocate for change, but I want for you to take the advice of the Heart Truth campaign and consult with your doctor first before you embark on creating a bridge to building a healthy heart.
The #Heart Truth campaign encourages women to:
-Know their numbers first/consult with your doctors
-Cut out unhealthy foods including junk food and any form of processed food
-Say no to smoking
-Aim for a healthy weight
-Get moving
-Eat for your heart health
Lets take this healthy journey together..
